Must Have:

•             Strong understanding of microprocessors and peripherals

•             Experience with Major automotive microprocessors (Motorola/Freescale/NXP, Intel, STMicro)

•             Ability to comprehend and translate information from "component" data sheet (or spec sheet) into Control/SW requirement.

•             Ability to work independently as a member on the development team

•             Ability to interface well with internal customers

•             Understanding of  Real Time OS (RTOS).

•             Automotive network data structures, protocols, (e.g. CAN, GM LAN, FNOS, J1939)

•             Excellent verbal and written English

•             B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Application Development

•             Minimum 5 years of embedded software development in model based development using Matlab/Simulink/RTW

•             Understanding of component characteristics and control mechanisms.

Low Level Driver Development

•             Minimum 5 years of embedded software development using C and/or C++

•             Good understanding of platform software and hardware abstraction layer software.

•             Detail understanding of automotive microprocessors (Motorola/Freescale/NXP, Intel, STMicro) and microprocessors peripherals
