QRD Engineer

•             QRD engineer working with infotainment systems

•             Ensure the achievement of Best in Segment targets for each region globally

•             Establish sufficiency to meet Best in Segment targets for each region

•             Effectively communicate Regional and Global Quality issues and Progress to the Continuous Improvement team, SMT management and BOM Leader

•             Participate in resolution of vehicle launch and field issues related to the specific QRD assigned

•             Identify Continuous Improvement Projects for QRD Team to achieve Sufficiency to QRD Quality Target (Post-SORP vehicles)

•             Ensure proper accounting for all Regional QRD Team results

•             Identify and forward current product learning's from Regional QRD Team to the BFOs and GSSLT

•             Run Global QRD Focus Area Meeting including agenda, minutes and general administration. Ensure proper attendance

•             Create and manage Top Issues Lists for QRD Focus Area (Issues to be based on customer verbatim reviews)

•             Perform regular reviews of Early Quality Indicators, such as CTF

•             Perform warranty data and cost trend analysis

•             Regularly report warranty performance to leadership at Core PDT meetings

•             Analyze and follow-up on captured test fleet diagnostic data and verbatim

•             Read-across issues to other vehicle lines and assembly plants

•             Track issue resolution to plant break points

•             Initiate and Conduct Warranty Parts Review at Warranty Parts Center

•             Identify Assembly Plants for QRD Team review

•             Identify Suppliers for QRD Team review

•             Lead meetings for quality and reliability review by module and supplier

•             Track step-down to warranty targets by vehicle line and region

•             Support the development of future strategy and roadmaps for quality improvements within the Drive Unit and Power Electronics QRD area

•             Prefer hands on experience in vehicles, both in taking components out and replacing them back into the vehicle.

•             Understand customer needs and to proactively engage the customer

•             Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities

•             Very proficient skills in MS Office (in particular Excel)

•             Prefer skills in Tableau and other advanced analytical tools

•             Willingness to learn new systems and the existing Quality tools (GART, Tracker GART, etc.)

•             Willingness to proactively engage engineering staff, leaders, etc. both written and with solid speaking skills.

•             Outgoing personality to get the job done.

•             Require engineering degree, prefer electrical engineering degree, but ME and other degrees will be considered.

 

Infotainment Engineer 1

HMI Module Vehicle Level Integration Engineer  

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•             Experienced in all aspects of Design and Development of Automotive Electronic Controllers (ECUs), especially of Audio Systems, their application and integration in Vehicle Design

•             Experienced with Software and Calibrations work and Vehicle Serial Data Communication using LAN, LIN, and MOST networks.

•             Pro-actively interact with multiple tier 1 suppliers to coordinate software build releases

•             Define and document system level issues between components of the subsystem

•             Interact with suppliers to resolve system issues

•             Review test logs to determine where subsystem issues reside

•             Coordinate system software releases to other development groups within the company

•             Run integration meetings, create minute, create and track action item lists

•             Travel as needed to support suppliers

•             Troubleshoot Captured Test Fleet issues

Qualifications:

•             Experience with common electrical test equipment (meter, scopes, etc.)

•             Experience with the LAN serial data communication protocol

•             Knowledgeable of MOST, LAN, and LIN

•             Experience with common serial data test equipment (CAT, SCAT, NeoVI, SDATT, DiComPhySys, DPS Tool, etc.)

•             Experience with automotive electrical systems and functional sub-systems

•             High level of oral and written communication skills

•             Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required

•             Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals

•             Specific knowledge of engineering discipline (e.g. mechanics, physics, metallurgy, manufacturing methods, electronics, software, control systems) within job-related area

•             High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex

•             High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others

•             Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to Audio Systems

•             Entry-level to 2 years' experience in job-related area

Candidate should have one of the following engineering degrees:

•             BSE, BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering

Preferred Work Schedule:   

Monday thru Friday 7am-4pm
