Role: DB2 DBA

Location: NJ - Mahwah 

Duration: 6+ Months

MOI: Phone Screen + In Person

Explanation for Position:

The DB2LUW DBA Tech Specialist will interact with functional representatives, business analysts, database analysts, and application development project teams to

support the effective storage and retrieval of data.

He/She demonstrates a significant understanding and analysis of applications' transformation of data into business information.

He/She implements and maintains the enterprise's production and development databases.

Details of Position:

The DB2LUW DBA Tech Specialist investigates complex problems, monitors performance, contributes to back-up and recovery procedures, and configures and

installs DB2LUW database software. He/She works with the development team to

design database schemas, perform disaster recovery, troubleshoot production

problems and ensure production system stability and availability. Experience

installing and supporting DB2LUW on both Windows and Linux is required. Deep

database performance tuning is expected. Additional experience preferred with

programming or scripting skills, clustered environments, and full application SDLC.

Must be a fast self-starter.

 Management Skills: Good written and oral communication skills. Effective in managing time and tasks.

Works well in a team environment. Reputational client service.
