Role : Oracle Apps DBA
Location : Broomfield, CO
Duration : 8+ Months
Rate : Market + Expenses
Required Skills: Oracle Application DBA with experience with VCP (ASCP, APCC, SNO)
Preferred Skills:
Mandatory 10+ Years of Experience
· Demonstrated expertise in Oracle Apps R12 and Oracle 11g database implementation and administration
· Experience with Oracle VCP administration
· Deep understanding of Oracle's release management and administration and patch analysis and ability to provide recommendations
· Experience with various flavors of UNIX, UNIX shell scripting, RAC, AD tools and configuring Applications in a load balanced environment
· Excellent analytical, problem solving abilities
· Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
· Defines database architecture
· Contributes to data model analysis and creates/updates logical and physical database model
· Develops disaster recovery testing, online performance testing and batch performance testing work plans
· Responsible for performance analysis and monitoring, DB and Application tuning
· Provides security management, workflow administration, patch application and testing, TAR follow-up and support
· Contributes to development of technical infrastructure framework, hardware and software sizing analysis and hardware and DB architecture
· Contributes to infrastructure testing and performance tuning
· Responsible for defining and executing database backup and recovery procedures
Expected Deliverables:
· Trains client DBA
· Insures that sanctity of global logical data design is protected
· Takes ownership of physical data model in terms of scalability, optimization of performance and availability
· Maintains awareness of Oracle database trends and communicates recommendations on database directions
