Senior Database Administrator for Database Operations and Projects i.  Oracle & SQL Server database administration, maintenance & ongoing day-to-day operations & projects support including installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery.    .  This is a hands-on DBA position

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Technical experience in database administration:

·         Installing, configuring, patching  & administration of Oracle software versions 10g & 11g

·         Installing, configuring, patching  & administration ofSQL Server 2005/2008/2012

·         Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) installation, configuration & administration

·         Installing, configuring, patching  & administration of Oracle Data Guard 10g & 11g

·         Installing, configuring, patching & administration of Oracle RAC 10g/11g

·         Upgrading Oracle software version from 10g to 11g

·         Upgrading SQL Server from 2005 to 2008/2012

·         Oracle 11g/12c Grid OEM for administration, monitoring & performance analysis of Oracle instances

·         Monitoring,  performance analysis and fine tuning of databases

·         Backup and restore of databases

·         Organise / perform support and trouble shooting for database products

·         Good working knowledge of Linux, Sun Solaris, AIX & Windows Operating Systems

·         Working collaboratively in a team environment

·         Working in cross-functional project teams

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Desirable experience in:

·         MySQL database administration

·         Database Vault, Audit Vault, Data Masking

·         Advanced compression

·         Database security products

·         Oracle Data Integrator (ELT tool)

·         Working knowledge of any Load Balancer

·         IT project management

·         Unix shell/Perl scripting

·         ITIL processes

* 6-8+ Years of Experience in the BI Domain preferrably in informatica power center (Developer tool experience is advantage). 

* Strong Knowledge on Data warehouse Concepts, Experience with Building Large/Complex SQLs in TERADATA and ORACLE

*Should have designed/developed atleast one large Data warehouse ETLs using informaitca power center End to End

* Experience with contorl-m or any other scheduling tool.

*Experience on Data Quality & Data Profiling is required
