Position- Sr. Java Developer

Location: Pasadena, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Rate: $65/hr on CTC

Mode of Interview: Phone/F2F  (Locals Only )

Key skill sets include Core Java 8, Oracle PL/SQL and 11g, Web Services (REST/SOAP)

Qualifications

•             7+ year's development of Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and UML.

•             7+ years' experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate (or other JPA libraries), Ehcache, and Terracotta/Coherence.

•             7+ years' experience with Java/Java J2EE, WebSphere, J2EE compliant app servers (e.g. Weblogic, JBoss)

•             7+ years' experience with relational database platforms preferably Oracle 11g

•             7+ years' experience in database design techniques (e.g. logical data modeling, normalization/denormalization)

•             5+ years' experience developing multi-threaded and distributed systems.

•             5+ years' experience working on performance and scalability issues in large-scale enterprise systems.

•             5+ years' experience using common source code control tools, especially SVN.

•             5+ years' experience with continuous integration development environments.

•             5+ years' experience with AJAX (e.g. Dojo, JQuery) and JavaScript frameworks.

•             5+ years' experience with common server operating systems, especially Linux.

•             5+ years' experience agile software development experience: Scrum Process, Extreme Programming (XP).

•             5+ years' experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).

•             5+ years' experience with Web Services, SOAP/REST.

•             5+ years' experience working in an Agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP) environment.

•             Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or 10+ years of equivalent experience.

Job Title: Dev Ops Chef Engineer

Location: New York, NY 10018 (Local Candidates)

Duration: 6 months contract to hire – must have the right authorization and willing to convert to FTE Must be USC/GC only

This is a remote position – the team works remote

Pay rate:  $60/hr

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Healthcare specific knowledge not required, more interested in technical skills of DevOps, Chef, Ruby, Jenkins, GIT, Automation(Linux, Windows, Networking Hardware), TDI, VMWare, etc.

TOP REQUIREMENTS: Chef, Ruby, TDI.

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for maturing the DevOps mindset within the agile teams using techniques such as Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Release Management roles.

The successful candidate will be a servant leader who develops and supports a learning organization model through coaching, training, and mentorship. The successful candidate will be one that can adapt as necessary for unintended consequences of this change initiative and one that understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. Blogging and community support are a part of this role.

Candidates will work in a DevOps team environment and are expected to work on both tactical and strategic assignments. Since the team is very young in its adoption of DevOps principles there is still a fair amount of manual maintenance work. Candidates are expected to handle the manual work while figuring out how to automate it.

Required Qualifications:

• 6 years of IT experience on web-based products

• 2 years of experience working on large scale, multiple team projects

• 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development.Infrastucture

• 2 years of continuous integration experience (for example tools like Jenkins, Anthill Pro).

• 2 years of experience in at least 1 high level programming language such as Ruby, C, C#, C++ or Java

• 2 years of experience with at least 1 scripting language such as Perl, Python or PowerShell.

• 1 years of experience with programmatic interaction with a relational database, preferably a recent version of PostGres.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chef++

• Amazon Web Services

• Git (contributions on Github++)

• Scripted environments experience

• Configuration as code experience

• Infrastructure experience

• Operations experience

• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience

• Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) experience

• Database change automation experience

• Real-time automated metrics and reporting experience
