Job Description: 
As a Forensics Manager, candidate should perform both traditional and unconventional ways to detect, analyze, and mitigate potential intrusions and other security incidents. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills, have experience in various toolsets and best practices, able to critically think, and allow for flexible scheduling.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·         Significant knowledge of incident response processes.

·         Significant knowledge of forensic tools and procedures.

·         Strong ability to analyze information and data.

·         Excellent problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities, especially with technical troubleshooting.

·         Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships across multiple lines of business.

·         Ability to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities.

·         Maintain team tools to support incident response and forensic procedures.

·         Perform real-time computer security Incident Handling (e.g., forensic collections, intrusion correlation/tracking, threat analysis, and direct system remediation) tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRT).

·         Perform computer security incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identify the specific vulnerability and make recommendations which enable expeditious remediation.

·         Research and recommend forensic tools that improve productivity and accuracy of investigations.

·         Provide highly technical examination, analysis and reporting of computer based evidence to include collecting and analyzing intrusion artifacts (e.g., source code, malware, and Trojans) and use discovered data to enable mitigation potential computer security incidents within the enterprise.

·         Effective and professionally secure handling and collection of digital evidence.

·         Serve as technical experts and liaisons to other internal investigative and legal groups by providing hands-on.support in reviewing forensic analysis, reports, and data and collaborate with other local, national and international incident response teams as needed.

·         Perform analysis of logs from a variety of sources within the enterprise, to include individual host logs, network traffic logs, firewall logs, and intrusion detection system logs.

·         Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution including documenting requests and activities in case management system (experience with using Resilient a plus).

·         Coordinate with and provide expert technical support to resolve computer security incidents working with other information security specialists to correlate threat assessment data, as needed.

·         Document new and update current program procedures providing guidance and reports on incident findings to appropriate constituencies.

·         Familiarity with laws and regulations regarding security breach response procedures.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years related technical experience is required for a level 3 role. An additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

·         At least 5 years of experience in incident response and digital forensics.

·         Certification in CISSP or SANS GIAC or CFCE or CEH or CISA/CISM or CCSP, or CCNA/CCNP Security.

·         2 years of experience with SEIM or 1 year experience with SIEM products or 1 year experience with Splunk.

The Big Data Developer is responsible for design and development of core platform that enables the delivery and construction processes for the Data Management, Data Discovery and Analytics group, leveraging emerging big data technologies. The individual is a subject matter expert technologist with strong Java experience and very knowledgeable with utilization and integration of Open Source software.  The individual has deep understanding and application of enterprise software design for implementation of data services and middleware. This is a have been there, done that technologist who thrives on driving efforts to completion while utilizing best in breed technologies and methodologies. The individual should also function as a Solution Architect, must be a visionary, and execution driven.  The individual must have successful experience in Big Data implementations for large data integration initiatives.

 

Your day-to-day activities will vary widely based on the state of the organization's priorities and needs at that point in time. As such, you must be comfortable with flexibility in your role. You must be able to operate in a relaxed, yet confident manner, without explicit hierarchy and structure governing your work. An affinity towards, and appreciation of, an influence-based and entrepreneurial culture is critical for success.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

•             Component Software Design & Development

•             Ensuring excellent practices are utilized in delivering Big Data Management and Integration Solutions

•             Ensuring design decisions can be actioned by the development team

•             Participating in agile development projects

•             Acting as a role model for all best practices, ensuring consistency across entire team

•             Mentoring technical development team on optimal utilization of Big Data solutions and Apache Open Source Software

•             Helping build a great team

•             Leveraging new and emerging practices for Enterprise Data Architecture

•             Engage in enterprise-level systems component design and implementation

•             Systems integration, including design and development of APIs, Adapters, and Connectors

•             Integration with Hadoop/HDFS, Real-Time Systems, Data Warehouses, and Analytics solutions

•             Write and maintain reference architectures and systems design 'best practices' guidelines

 

Qualifications:

•             B.S. in Computer Science

•             Experience Delivering End to End Solutions in the Enterprise Space

•             Fluency in Java is required

•             Strong foundation of OO Design & Enterprise Architecture, Design Patterns, and Unit Testing

•             Experience going from whiteboard concept to delivery of Service Oriented Architecture

•             Experience with Database integration

•             Experience with Linux platforms

•             Experience with MPP platforms

•             Experience with Hadoop and Map/Reduce development

•             Experience with NoSQL technologies is a plus

•             Experience with Name-Value and Columnar data stores is a plus

•             Can communicate clearly and excellently with a wide variety of people / functions

•             Ability to work with the team and the business to identify business problems and design excellent solutions

•             Experience in multi-threaded application development

•             Experience with large data processing solutions

•             Experience with High Performance Computing and/or Grid Computing is a plus

•             Experience with Data Virtualization Solutions is a plus

•             Experience with application development frameworks

•             Knowledge with Maven and Jenkins

•             Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

•             Proven ability to prototype and develop in short cycles

•             Excellent intuition as to how to design and implement distributed systems for Enterprise use

•             Ability to work well independently

•             Ability to develop use cases and software test plans

The software developer will work in a highly motivated team to contribute to application development while using Agile Methods. The individual must be comfortable with TDD, pairing and other extreme programming practices. The individual must have experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams.  The individual must have a passion to learn new technologies and take pride in developing solutions while championing the agile mindset, automation and mentoring the team in all aspects of XP techniques.
