Job Title: Java Developer 

Location: Washington DC

General Experience:  

Eight (8) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least five 

projects in technical areas included in SOW.  At least one project must have occurred 

within the past three (3) years. 

Specialized Experience: 

Four (4) years of this experience must have been in performing large IT projects related to 

the individual's subject matter expertise and must have occurred in the last eight (8) years.  

Proficient in Java development for portals, or J2EE Development, Java Server Faces (JSF), 

Servlet development, Web Application development, and Web Services development 

utilizing Java on a Tomcat/JBOSS infrastructure.

Understand existing and emerging systems and technologies as they relate to Java, 

Javascript programming languages, advanced Structured Query Language (SQL), and 

extensible markup language (XML). 

Design, development, implementation, and operational experience on previous electronic 

storage and data transmission projects.  Apply standards and guidelines in designing 

technical architectures (Redhat Linux). 

Integrate systems such as relational database management systems (Informix) and 

electronic collection of data.  

Experience building Web-based Reports using Java on a Linux server and Informix database 

within the past three years is desired.

Communications Skills:  

Excellent oral and written communication skills as candidate will be eliciting requirements 

and conducting discussion with several internal AO clients as well as FDSM team.

Technical Skills Required:

JAVA:   4+ years

SF 1.2:   2-3 + years

HTML/ JavaScript

RedHat/Linux

Tomcat 

SQL – high on any database skills including Informix (desirable), DB2, Oracle.  Candidate 

must have solid experience working with databases.

Desirable but not required:

JSF 2.0

XML

Informix

JBoss
