Location: Los Angeles, CA.
Duration: 6+ month Contract
Job Description:
Looking for a Software Engineer with strong computer science fundamentals. Responsibilities include the specification, design, development, testing, documentation and implementation of client-server software applications utilizing Java and SQL, with an emphasis on server and backend development.
The software developer will be responsible for solving intriguing problems with our latest technology, and partner with other team members, customers, and vendors throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related field. MS in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
5-10 years of developing software applications with core Java is required
1-3 years of server development with:
JBoss/Jetty
MySql/Hibernate/JPA
Web service: SOAP/REST
Spring
AWT
Strong J2EE understanding is desired
Experience with GWT or other front-ends is a plus
Knowledge of Maven is a plus
Experience with C++, Perl/Python/etc, is a plus
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Good analytical skills, detail oriented, quick study, and self-motivated.
Able to work independently with effective time management in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Ability to multitask within an environment of rapidly changing priorities.
Proactively solve problems and work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with analysis and support of production/live systems a plus.
Must be willing to work occasional extended/flexible hours.
