Business Analyst/w Motor Vehicle Experience
Austin, TX
6+Months Contract

Job Description: Role and Responsibilities The Business Analyst is
assigned to large projects and works closely with the client, project
management, developers and data conversion and configuration
specialists to identify requirement gaps and enhancements in our
existing product suite that must be modified to meet contractual and
client requirements. The business analyst must know and understand
the 3M product and serve as a product expert. The business analyst
must have strong written and verbal communication skills. The
business analyst must be able to communicate with business and
technical staff alike and be able to manage to scope and contractual
commitments. Diplomacy and client facing skills are a must. This
position requires the ability to travel 50-60% of the time. *** This
position requires the candidate to be local to Austin; candidates must
interview in person to be considered for this position. ***

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
*Practical experience and knowledge of structured software development
life cycle methodologies and techniques
*Practical experience identifying and capturing software requirements
*Proven analytical skills
*Proven written/verbal communication skills
*Proven presentation and facilitation skills
*Bachelor's degree, IIBA Certification or equivalent experience
*Motor Vehicle or state government experience desired
*Three or more years of practical experience is required utilizing
relational databases, in one or more of the following
*Business requirements gathering and documenting
*Functional requirements analysis and documentation
*Data analysis and ability to read and understand data models
*Programming/Report development
*User Acceptance Test Coordination, including creation of scenarios as needed
*Business Process Flow / Business Process Definition skills
*Quality Assurance/functional testing
*Large project experience
*Served as lead or experienced analyst on a mid or large sized project
*Experience working on a team with variable responsibilities
*Experience working on projects through production / Go Live implementation
*Experience working with and implementing COTS/MOTS solutions with
fixed price, fixed timeline constraints
*Practical experience and knowledge of relational database structure
and concepts

Preferred Skills:
*Use Case / Requirements documentation development
*Detailed Business / software requirement development
*Experience with requirements management tools (Top Team, Rational, etc.)

Facilitation skills:
*Ability to comprehend data models, create / define logical data
models for new functionality as needed.
*Clear concise communication both written and oral
*Ability to work well with large and diverse teams both technical and
non-technical in nature
*Acceptance Test Coordination
*SQL Query skills
