Position: ETL Developer/ Data integration Specialist

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Location: San Francisco, CA

Senior: Skills equivalent to 6-10 years in comparable position

The ETL Developer/Data Integration Lead will be responsible for sourcing, cleansing, aggregating, and loading a complex array of data to support the NICE Actimize risk platform. This individual will serve both as a hands-on developer and as the leader of a sub-team of ETL specialists.

Detailed duties include:
-Acting as coordinator for dividing development responsibilities and ensuring a smooth hand-off to other developers.
-Mentoring and assisting other ETL specialists, while personally handling particularly difficult or complex development responsibilities.
-Creating/updating ETL specifications (source-to-target mappings, design documents, etc).
-Creating/updating supporting documentation (including data flow diagrams, job scheduling documents, test plans, etc).
-Coding, testing, debugging, and implementing ETL logic utilizing Informatica mappings and workflows.
-Performing testing tasks and code reviews.
-Developing and updating Linux shell scripts to automate batch jobs and administrative tasks.
-Working with Business Systems Analysts, Data Modelers, and DBAs to make certain that requirements are implemented effectively and correctly.
-Defining and managing production batch jobs through Schwab's enterprise scheduling package
-(CA Workload Automation ESP Edition).
-Building a strong functional understanding of Schwab's business data to assist in resolving data integrity issues, troubleshooting problems, and determining the best approach for sourcing data.
-Participating in User communities (in and out of Schwab) to share and build knowledge.

 

Must Haves:

-BA/BS or higher degree, preferably in a technical or analytical discipline

-6+ years related experience as an ETL Developer, with a track record of delivering code with minimal defects

-Prior experience as a team leader or manager of technical personnel

-Deep experience using Informatica versions 8+, including all transformations and workflow components

-3+ years experience with Oracle database technology

*MUST DO SQL ASSESSMENT ONSITE!

 

Nice to Have:

-Familiarity with Teradata and SQL Server databases a plus

-Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting

-Familiarity with an enterprise scheduling package, preferably CA Workload Automation ESP Edition

-Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills

-Understanding of Rational Unified Process methodology and/or Agile framework preferred

-Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool, along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications

-Excellent written/verbal communication skills
