Position: Sr Teradata Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 12 months Contract

Required skills/years

8+ years in Data warehousing industry or Database Management field; 5 plus year experience in Teradata administration is desired

• Highly Skilled in Teradata Platform Architecture, All aspects of Teradata Administration and Platform Management.

• Proficient in Physical Data Modeling techniques and Mechanisms

• Proficient in new features of the latest Teradata releases - 13.10 and 14.0; enable relevant features to support ETL and Analytics Initiatives.

• Proven track of Full Cycle of System Management functionalities - Platform upgrades, Software Upgrade, Systems Set up and provisioning

 • Expertise with Teradata System Utilities (Node Level), Teradata Load Utilities (TPT, Fastload, Fast Export, MultiLoad etc), TASM, Viewpoint.

• Well versed with latest Industry techniques and methodologies on Platform Capacity Planning/Management, Workload Analysis/Tuning.

• Ability to solve complex problems involving Large Data sets and recommend scalable technical solutions for Production Issues - Operations and ETL teams.

 • Advocate Best Practices and Standards to Development teams and Teradata Analytics Community through Technical Documentation and Brown Bag or training Sessions.

• Prior Technical Consulting Experience in Large Scale Data warehouse environment is desired.

• Ability to Own, Lead and Deliver Technical tracks working with teams that spread across the globe.

• Good Communications Skills and Ability to Articulate or present technical ideas to Senior Management team is needed.

• Provide Technical guidance and leadership to Data Technology level 1 and 2 DBA and Batch Operations team.

• Experience in one or more of Data Technology tools - Informatica, Data Stage, Hyperion IR, Cognos, Tableau.

• Teradata Master Certification is a plus.
