Job Title: Sybase/Java Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:
• Develop stored procedures, packages, triggers, tables, views, etc.
• Manage a variety of business processes.
• Should be able to work independently.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and implement new/diverse technologies like Oracle, Tibco, BO, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple diverse teams across multiple geographic locations and organizations.
• Ability to work on large scale projects with multiple developers.
• As projects go live, there may be on-call support needed during off hours. Majority of on-call support will be managed by the India or US team.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of coding in SQL programming
• Experience in designing, coding, testing procedures, packages, triggers & PL/SQL
• Good experience with performance tuning of queries including parallel.
• 3+ years of working in a Unix/Linux environment including basic shell scripting.
• Experience with core Java. Should be able to write basic programs like connecting to a database and processing a result set.
• Leadership and mentoring skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Preference given to individuals with experience in the financial services industry
