Role: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: NYC, NY

Job Description:
· Gather and analyze user requirements and specifications.
· Understand and document business processes and develop functional expertise across lines of business related to the system being developed.
· Create business process flows to capture detail business transactions.
· Act as a liaison between the business owners and the development team.
· Understand the real business objectives and translate them into specifications for the technical development team.
· Participate in testing activities to ensure that the system meets the functional requirements.
· At least 8 years of experience in collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements for data warehouse/business intelligence applications.
· Skilled in various techniques of requirements gathering such as user interviews, joint application development (JAD) sessions, workshops etc.
· Experience in analyzing functional requirements and producing business requirements documents, use cases, and screen and interface mockups.
· Act as the intermediary between the client requirements and the software developers, ensuring that technical solutions meet the desired business objectives.
· Thorough understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC).
· Strong analytical, problem solving and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
