Job Description:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: HRA/MIS is required to support the FIA initiative to Re-Engineer the business processes at the more than 40 SNAP and Job center locations.
The mission is to develop a client self-directed service model that would improve customer service while maintaining integrity, by utilizing technology and simplifying existing business processes.
Tasks & Duties
• Develop system design specification.
• Develop and prepare document for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develop specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations.
• Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs.
• Develop, compile, Maintain and document configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems.
• Develop system documentation.
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
• Develop detailed systems operations designs.
• Perform System Design/Coding.
• Work with MIS staff (e.g. managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes.
• Create, test and maintain program code.
• Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms.
• Provide assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves.
• Occasionally contact customers as needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem.
• Provide general programming assistance to other MIS programmers/projects as needed.
• Perform Testing/Evaluation.
• Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.
• Develop, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards.
• Provide support for IBM Message Broker - message flows, Queues and Web Services
Position Requirements/Technical Skills:
Required Skills
• Minimum 8 Years' Experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access.
• Minimum 8 Years' Experience with data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation.
• Minimum 8 Years' Experience with technical and user documentation, software conversions.
• Minimum 8 Years Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid-range, personal computers, laptops.
• Minimum 8 Years' Experience in leading the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions.
• Minimum 2 Years' Experience with IBM WebSphere Message Broker flow development and Administration.
• Minimum 2 Years' Experience with IBM WebSphere Message Queues.
• Minimum 2 Years' Experience with Web Service Development and consumption.
• Minimum 2 Years Knowledge of SOA trends, SOA standards, XML, XSLT, SOAP, XML Schemas and WSDL usage.
• Minimum 4 Years' Experience with database usage (Oracle and SQL Server)..
