This is our direct client opening for a UX Designer located in South Windsor, CT. This is a Short term contract position and the hourly rate is DOE.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
Drive design ideas from concept through product release
Participate in all aspects of the user experience process
Collaborate across the company to help create amazing experiences for our users
Participate in both strategic and tactical product design decisions
Work closely with the rest of the UX and Product Development teams
Translate business requirements into wireframes/mockups according to best practices
Develop HTML/CSS for new websites and existing ones
Assist in research, testing, and analysis to help understand changes and trends in how users interact with our products
Required Skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud
Preferred Skills
Familiar with JavaScript frameworks/libraries
Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility techniques
Required Experience
Front-end development experience (HTML & CSS)
Experience creating mockups & wireframes
Strong portfolio of recent work
Preferred Experience
2+ years of web design experience
Experience with consumer internet products
Experience with responsive design
Experience with version control systems
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in web design required; area of study focused in computer science, graphic design, human factors/psychology, information architecture, interaction design preferred
