Sr. Java Developer

Location:              St Louis, MO

Duration:             12 months (extendable up to 3 years)

Rate:                     $60/hr c2c

Hiring process:

·         Enterprise will send an online assessment (60-90 mins and must be taken in one sitting)

·         Phone screen and possible skype interview with Enterprise

·         Mandatory Face2Face interview with Enterprise in St Louis, MO

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting moderately complex components of the systems infrastructure.  You will evaluate and integrate software and hardware requests.  You will also provide issue and problem resolution for moderately complex issues and performs disaster recovery exercises.  Finally, you will provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments.

•                    Interpret end-user business requirements to develop and modify technical design specifications

•                    Take a keen interest in understanding the business process and recommend solutions that effectively meet the needs of the business

•                    Code and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as compliance to the business and technical requirements

•                    Work with other software engineers to design interfaces between software applications in order to complete design requirements

•                    Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning

•                    Participate in the migration of applications to quality assurance and the production environment

•                    Work with managers and team members to develop development standards

•                    Perform necessary production support tasks involving on-call responsibilities that would involve both during and after work hours

Qualifications:

Required

•                    Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

•                    Must have 5+ years of experience with J2EE specifications along with a Bachelor's Degree, or 1+ year of experience with J2EE specifications along with a Master's Degree

•                    5+ years of experience with J2EE specifications (OOAD, Core Java, Servlets, JSP, JMS, JDBC, Web Services, XML, JavaScript)

•                    3+ years of experience with object-oriented analysis, design and development with strong knowledge of design patterns

•                    3+ years of experience with  SQL using Oracle or SQL Server

•                    3+ years of experience with design tools like Rational Rose and IDE tools like Eclipse

•                    3+ years of experience with application services like Weblogic, Websphere, or JBOSS

•                    3+ years of experience using Web Services, WSDL, SOAP-XML

•                    Good working knowledge of Unix and Windows operating environments

•                    Experience with frameworks like Struts, Tiles, Hibernate, Spring, XML, XSLT, and JUNIT

•                    3+ years of recent experience in core application development and troubleshooting utilizing required tools

Preferred

•                    Experience in financial/credit card processing applications

•                    Experience with performance tuning, caching, clustering and related concepts

•                    Experience with ANT, Clear Case, and Clear Quest

•                    Experience with scripting languages like Pearl and Groovy

•                    Excellent hands-on experience with UML Modeling (Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Collaboration Diagram, Use Case Diagram, Deployment Diagram, etc.)
