Job Description
· The client seeks a technical tester in a Java Development Environment with experience planning and executing SIT & CAT across major and minor releases.
· The candidate should also have a knowledge of testing scripts to validate the application functionality meets the agreed upon requirements.
· The candidate will apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support the project.
· Excellent, client-facing skills are a must.
· Note: Resource must be onsite in Washington D.C. (downtown) or Herndon, VA. No remote work.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years' experience familiarity with different types of testing (system integration (SIT), customer acceptance (CAT), regression, functional, etc.) and an ability to plan/execute accordingly.
• Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
• Ability to design and write test cases and script with experience in executing and coordinating monitoring of performance tests.
• Experience with HP ALMS for documenting defects
• Experience with creating ADMS builds for following environments: DEV, SIT and CAT
• Experience manipulating data for test case scenarios.
• Experience determining automation feasibility versus manual scripting.
• Knowledge in developing, updating and maintaining quality testing standards and procedures.
• Ability to assist in the planning, creation and control of the test environment(s).
• Experience with application development teams and business users to develop and validate test requirements.
• Capable of working with the customer and developers to identify the test scenarios based upon the User Stories, along with Technical Requirement documents.
• Strong written and verbal client-facing communication (ability to translate between business and technical concepts)
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Java development is a plus.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle experience in an Agile environment.
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically.
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
Additional Provisions
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
