Required and Desired Skills
Required:
10+ years of SQL Server 2005,2008,2013 experience
5+ years of experience leveraging DB analysis tools
5+ years of experience using ETL tools (Pervasive, SSIS)
3+ years of extensive experience performing Data Conversion for large projects
3+ years of extensive experience performing Data Conversion for COTS (Commercial off the shelf) product
5+ years of extensive experience performing Data Migration for large projects
Desired:
Collections and Recovery domain knowledge
Experience on FICO DM9 or CR Software's Titanium ORE
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
This position is a hands-on position. The Data Conversion Lead will report to the Application Development Manager to assist in managing the migration of data from legacy database into
another. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Provide detailed analysis of source and destination systems to design appropriate interfaces, code, and test plans.
o Analyze the existing DB structure, file system, or any other source of data
oReview existing and future data conversion codes
oDesign and develop conversion automation routines
oMap legacy data to the target product
· Apply best data management and coding practices while
o Managing the creation of data conversion routines (from legacy to target)
oManaging the data conversion activities and process planning, testing, and go-live
oPreparing Data conversion scripts
oOptimize the code and improve the performance
oLiaising with the other application teams
·Partner with the ADM in managing relationships with various client stakeholders involved in the data migration
·Have work experience in both a waterfall-like and agile-like SDLC environments
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in computer Science or relevant
Certification in SQL Server
