MUST HAVE experience in:
Asset management (buy side) working with front office systems including portfolio management, trading and research, understanding of business work flows
Database/Data Warehouse testing
Writing SQL query
Position Summary
Create test plans and scripts.
Ensure that QA & Best Practices are adhered to and supported throughout the SDLC.
Assist in building an effective and repeatable QA practice, including Traceability, Change Control, Root Cause Analysis, Test Plans, scenarios and scripts.
Attend project level meetings to assess testing efforts involving business needs, integration with vendors as well as general data and environmental needs to ensure and maintain a less than 10% issues discovery in Production.
Must be well-organized, have strong ability to effectively multi-task, problem-solve, and communicate.
Work with teams to develop test scripts and execute testing.
Be responsible for manual and regression testing; needs to have the knowledge of automated testing as well.
Familiarity with financial applications such as Bloomberg, Charles River, Eagle STAR/PACE is also a strong plus.
Qualifications
8+ years of QA testing experience in software development environment
Solid experience in investments & asset management. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR BANKING or CREDIT CARD BACKGROUND.
2-3 years of experience in Quality Center, Rally, Jira or like testing and issues repository tools
Must have worked in fixed income and equities
Must have worked with FIX messaging
Experience on projects using methodologies including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
Automation testing knowledge and understanding, familiarity with tools
Experience in Investment industry – Asset Management, Fixed Income, Equity, Mutual Fund
Waterfall, Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong SQL skills and understanding of ETL
