Requirements
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of experience with System Administration work
1 - 2 years of experience with MySQL, Oracle, PL/SQL and JDBC
1 - 2 years of experience Unix and Unix shell scripting
1 – 2 years working with Monitoring tools such as Nagios
Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting the Unix/Linux operating system, Internet-based applications, and web servers.
Scripting experience in actively writing/modifying code to improve monitoring and automation (Perl, Python, Shell, etc).
Strong experience with storage, load balancing, and other technologies in a high volume, high transaction environment.
Experience with high transaction volumes, high data through put
Strong problem solving skills
Works well in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
Comfortable working in a fast paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets
Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics
Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines
Ability to present clear, concise reporting on concurrent projects and issues
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
