Being able to effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables, identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, security and timelines to internal Business, and Project Stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, prioritize projects and meet client deadlines.

 

Essential Functions 

Understand existing and target state architecture, data events and data flows.

Well versed in defining requirements, developing use cases, project artifacts & documentation, managing issue logs, benchmarking data, and analysis & testing phases

Participates in training support activities such as documentation authoring and preparation, training preparation and delivery.

Provides general customer and IT support for assigned business applications; deals with the most complex system problem logs; works with business and technical staff to perform effective root-cause analysis and resolution.

Will profile data as input to source to target transformation rules and provide data mapping artifacts.

Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.

Rapidly analyze data sets from different sources; identify data relationships, business rules, data characteristics and business process gaps.

Work with cross-functional stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements by drawing out key business insights to provide actionable recommendations.

Provides tutorship to junior analysts and may lead and direct the work of others.


Requirements: 
BS in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering or Statistics plus 8+ years of experience.

Experience in the Insurance or Financial industry is desired.

Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle, data mining, and pattern recognition in large datasets, including ability to program customized queries to successfully complete tasks.

Demonstrated ability of working with multiple levels of management and effectively communicating data analytics to all levels of the organization

Creative problem solving skills with positive, action-oriented attitude and independent thinking.

Ability to package and present analytical findings in an effective and intuitive manner which explains clearly the direction and recommendation of the information

4+ years of experience in documenting business and data requirements for systems development projects.

Data Work- understanding the data from legacy systems and transferring to new systems.

Knowledge of/experience with Visio and Microsoft Project preferred.
