Client is looking for Unix Administrator located in Richardson, TX. This is a Long Term Contract Position and the Hourly rate is DOE.
Job Description:
Very good resource for Shell Scripting with little knowledge of Chef. He MUST be very good in communication. We have meeting with customer with director on Wednesday to provide status pon this.
This role requires the building of servers. The build-out will require installation of OS, application software, monitoring tool software and scripts to support Continuous Delivery methodology.
This will be across IST, PSL, E2E and Production Environments. Candidate must be well versed in Shell scripting. They will need to build support documentation for day to day support and on-call duty.
They also required to fulfill environment architect and other requests, provide end to end prod support, and assist with required production deployment.
Candidate will work with enterprise wide applications and personnel as well as other team members in a challenging, fast paced atmosphere to establish and maintain high availability of production environments.
A successful candidate will be a member of a team responsible for team deliverables and meeting specified milestones. Candidate will be required to build environments to specifications, set up and modify configurations, Application Server administration, install kits, perform advanced troubleshooting and provide root cause analysis, Monitor Server processes, Server component availability, and write shell scripts and SQL queries.
A successful candidate will also be able to follow, maintain, document, and help establish standard processes to ensure repeatability.
This job requires the ability to work as needed to meet software release deadlines. Certification a plus Application.
