Job Description:

• Strong Knowledge on SQL Server 2014:

• Strong knowledge on Azure and Powershell

• Operate enterprise systems that leverage SQL 2012/2014 including strong T-SQL skills, SQL server Database, Performance Troubleshooting and tuning, SSRS report development and troubleshooting   using knowledge of SSIS & SSAS and related troubleshooting

• IIS Administration- Web Site setup, migration, troubleshooting complex issues, SSL certificate management.

• Operate enterprise systems deployed on Windows Server 2008/2012 and IIS 7/8 including administration, implementation and troubleshooting.

 

Skill Sets Levels:

SQL Server 2014 DBA Performance Tuning, Troubleshoot, Always On, Replication, Clustering Expert

Powershell Intermediate

IIS Intermediate

Azure - understanding concepts of Service Bus, Web site, worker roles, configuration settings Basic

Job Description:

1. Application & Server availability monitoring, data flow validation

2. Monitoring SQL job failures, troubleshooting & execution

3. SQL Server level troubleshooting for DB failures and issues

4. Database service health checks

5. Support build & release activities for production & UAT environments

6. Automate manual activities using Powershell scripts

7. Troubleshooting web server related issues (IIS)

8. Performance monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting

9. Application troubleshooting & escalated support, participating in Major Incident calls

10. Problem Management activities, reduce incidents, identify bugs in the applications

11. Provide inputs on telemetry, collect logs from various sources and perform analytics

12. Creating Application Insights, Web tests and Alerts, service bus , automation jobs and Virtual Machines and traffic manager in azure, creating Azure storage accounts

13. Monitor SQL Error logs, IIS logs and event viewer.

14. Able to fetch the data into Power BI and then generate different reports to show app availability, outages, error trends , etc.
