Job Title: Senior VMware Administrator (Need Only GC/ Citizen for this role)

Job Description:
This will be a night shift position (4 days X 10 hours) possibly. Hours will be 9pm-7am. The days will be Saturday through Tuesday (may change). Person will need to be able to work the first 2-4 weeks 8am-5pm for training.
The Senior Production Support Specialist is a member of the Virtualization tower and is responsible for VMware Operations.
The team is responsible for deploying, configuring and managing the VMware environment.
The Senior Production Support Specialist will possess extensive technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to ensure projects and tasks are completed on time and lead team members to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in VMware technology roadmaps, testing and proof of concepts, solution validation. Participate in system design improvements and performance enhancements.
Provide Tier 3 support for VMware environment.
Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide root cause analysis, involve the appropriate resources as needed.
Identify current operational process inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide expert technical architectural support and guidance for solution opportunities that involve virtualization, cloud infrastructure, management and security, including integration with certain select 3rd party products.
Contribute to data center standards development and enforcement.
Responsible for the creation, management and upkeep of Intranet FAQs, User guides and Knowledgebase, standards and build documents including DR plans.
May direct 3rd party resources in day to day activities and provide feedback on performance through appropriate channels.
Support of Client Blades and Cisco UCS Hardware platform Basic
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science Certification in appropriate VMware technology VCP a plus UCS knowledge and experience PowerCLI or other scripting Familiarity with cloud and automation platforms
