Job Description:
· Development and recommendations for improved methods for implementing SharePoint Server 2010.
· Hardware and software maintenance.
· Interfacing with vendors, and partners to install and troubleshoot, and resolve SharePoint problems/incidents.
· Producing and interpreting SharePoint performance trends.
· Performing SharePoint sites capacity planning and alerting.
· Consulting with client personnel to identify SharePoint requirements.
· Preparing and updating SharePoint documentation.
· Designing and configuring SharePoint implementation.
· Maintaining design requirements documentation.
· Participating as a Subject Matter Expert in architectural and design reviews.
· Making recommendations for project changes as needed to improve functionality, performance, enterprise impacts, and standards compliance.
· Participating in the activities of the new SharePoint installations and farm deployments.
· Support the client upgrade to SharePoint 2010.
· Reviewing the client governance Plans and designing the implementation of the governance.
· Managing content sources, schedules and crawl status.
· Configuring enterprise search (SharePoint Server 2010)
· Managing farm-level search settings (SharePoint Server 2010).
· Managing Search service applications (SharePoint Server 2010).
· Managing Crawling (SP Server 2010).
· Managing queries and results (SP Server 2010).
· Managing metadata properties for search (SP Server 2010).
· Managing People Search in connection with My Sites development (SP Server 2010).
· Monitoring Search (SP Server 2010).
· Managing settings to improve search results.
· Working with the client Business Team to execute Search Business Requirements.
