Position: Senior ETL Developer with medical claims exp
Location: NYC
Duration: 6+ months

Overview
The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for architecture, design, development of ETL in a VLDB environment. Not that this is not for a DataWarehouse, but for high volume batch processing of medical claims data for large transaction processing system.
Specific Technical Skills
Ø 10+ years of IT experience
Ø 5+ years Informatica experience
Ø 2+ years experience working with VLDB (very large databases)
Ø 5+ yrs Oracle experience – SQL (must be very strong in SQL)
Ø 1+ years Oracle experience – PL/SQL
Ø 5+ years experience with Linux (Preferably Red Hat)
Ø Proven experience in data profiling and analysis
Ø Proven experience with data cleansing
Ø Working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships
Ø Experience with IDE, IDQ, or IIR is a plus
Ø Medical background is a plus
Development Responsibilities
Ø Architect jobs for maximum reusability
Ø Design Informatica workflow and jobs
Ø Develop ETL workflow, jobs, and maplets
Ø Perform code review from peer developers
Ø Perform unit test prior to submitting to Quality Assurance team
Ø Must be able to maintain mapping documents.
Ø Design tactics for data cleansing upon load
Ø Performance tune ETL and database access
Ø Work with DBA on physical optimizations
Ø Support BA on data analysis for errors in data or to help flush out requirement
Ø Research and close tickets
