BACKUP CONSULTANT - TALLAHASSEE, FL
Start Date: ASAP
Estimated Duration: 3 months
Remote or Onsite: On location at the Client's site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.
Description: Our Client, a government agency, is looking to hire a Backup Consultant in Tallahassee, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:        

• Run and automate data protection reports for Business Intelligence tools analysis, and automate data for other reporting needs;
• Track success and failure of backup clients and any migration progress for upcoming projects;
• Ensure daily backup job status reports are accurate and delivered;
• Perform other Backup and Recovery assistance for staff as directed;
• Automate to the extent possible the current manual process of collecting multiple sources of data to verify backup and recovery compliance;
• Develop documentation to support the data collection process and automation;
• Create and develop automated reports that provide a daily backup status of all Client's systems and use this data to quickly and accurately provide audit and backup verification for the Client and Client's Customers when requested;
• Work with the Client's Cherwell team to provide data necessary to accurately and timely populate backup availability for Client's Customer systems.

Requirements:

• Experience with backup technologies and best practices used in large multi-tenant environments;
• Experience with backup and recovery concepts, techniques, and products;
• Experience with VMware backup integration;
• Experience with replication approaches, technologies, and products;
• Experience administering common backup and recovery products EMC Networker, DataDomain, Avamar and Data Protection Advisor, as well as Netbackup, BackupExec and Data Protection Manager (DPM);
• Experience working with multiple sources of data including, but not limited to: SQL or Oracle databases, comma-delimited files, and automation of data exports from Windows or Linux systems;
• Experience with data querying tools, such as SQL, Excel, and CSV (comma-delimited) files;
• Experience with data mapping between multiple databases and other sources, i.e. SQL, Excel and CSV files;
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
