Tableau expert and is up for a 12 month project in Pittsburgh, PA.
Strong understanding and enthusiasm for Tableau Architecture and data visualization in general.
Serve as subject matter expert and mentor of Tableau to internal IT team members and business users.
Evangelize self-service BI, data discovery, and visualization with emphasis on Tableau while helping to educate the current Excel based power users.
Champion data quality, integrity and reliability by designing and promoting best practices and promoting certification of Tableau based data sources.
Partner closely with cross-functional peers and leaders to deliver Tableau reporting projects that solve critical business requirements.
Develop rich interactive visualizations, integrating multiple data sources, using current best practices to create data visualization's that allow business users to draw meaningful insight.
Proficiency with translating financial and operations requirements to build complex calculations and presentations.
Ability to run conference room pilots using Tableau to prototype new visualizations and analyze customer data and requirements on the fly.
Experience in Tableau Mobile and Geographic Maps.
Manage Tableau Server; following best practices for managing security, scheduling extracts, incremental refreshes, job and server monitoring, and usage statistics.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in reporting / analytics. 3+ years of experience working with Business Intelligence, Analytics and / or Data Warehouse technologies;
Minimum 3+ years' experience designing and developing dashboards using Tableau including Desktop, Server, and web variants, using best practices and industry standards;
Expert level skills in building highly used & adopted custom reports and dashboards;
Expert level skills in Schema design and Dimensional data modeling;
Expert level ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies;
Thorough understanding of the business intelligence development life cycle including the ability to conduct interviews and gather requirements;
Effective and dynamic presentation skills to motivate diverse target audiences;
Optional but nice to have: Experience with OBIEE 11G, data modeling, RPD development, Alteryx and/or Informatica development, data warehouse design, statistics and predictive modeling.
