Position: .Net Developer

Location: Tempe, AZ

Duration: 12 months+

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support and development of multiple web based .NET applications, and web services. Interface with management, business analysts, project managers, IT Architects and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop solutions according to business requirements.

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

         Maintain current applications, including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning, troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions

         Lead and mentor less senior developers, develop and provide support for multiple applications

         Work with a team to create detailed project specifications, requirements and estimates, ensure tasks/projects are completed on time and within scope

         Work with production operations department to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customer group receives appropriate support

         Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security and performance

         Document validation of design decisions and lead code reviews

         Develop and enforce policy and procedural changes within the development group

         Develop coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines

         Work closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

         Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS/Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience and or training

         7+ years total development experience, 4 + years Web Application experience

         Expert skills with JavaScript, C#, XML, HTML, ASP.NET, CSS and other web development technologies

         Experience in .NET web services, WCF, WPF and applications

         Experience with JavaScript & frameworks (Angular JS, Knockout, Bootstrap, etc.)

         Experience working on Agile projects using test driven development,

         Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS)

         Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL

         Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming

         Extensive knowledge of common data structures and algorithms

         Extensive knowledge of design patterns and best practices for reusable Object-Oriented code

         Knowledge of PCI Compliance / OWASP standards

         Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards.

         Networking knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP)

         Demonstrated project management methodology experience, including IT delivery methods

         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

         Ability and willingness to provide 24x7 production support, as assigned

         Experience with diagnostics / testing tools (dynaTrace, Fiddler, IE Inspector, HTTP Analyzer, LISA) preferred

         Experience with Oracle - PL/SQL preferred

         Knowledge of airline business systems preferred
