Experience as DBA around 8 years
- Expert in SQL Server 2005 & 2008
- Expert in trouble shooting and finding the issue or performance bottleneck related to SQL Server and its related software & hardware components.
- Expert in finding performance bottleneck & finding solution
- Expert in performance tuning on SQL Server 2005 & 2008
- Extensive use of SQL Server tools such as Query Analyzer, Profiler, etc.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Operating System Diagnose and troubleshoot OS components that may impact SQL Server availability, such as memory, CPU, disk space, security, etc.
- Experience with SAN based architecture and understanding of Windows OS 2008, Active Directory, VM Ware Environments and network infrastructure.
- Should be able to recommend SQL Server hardware components to improve performance
- Should be able to document existing performance issues & long term solutions for these issues
- End of this assignment, one of the expected deliverables will be Daily, Weekly and Monthly SQL Server Maintenance plans in the form of SQL Scripts. The Support or even the customer should be able to run these scripts in their environment to implement these maintenance plans.
- Looking for someone who can hit the ground on the first day and find quick wins on the performance issues on our large customers.
