Role: Backup Admin

Location: Bellevue, WA

Client: Wipro

Roles and Responsibility:

·         Installation and Implementation of HPDP backup and Archival solution

·         Backup solution presentation.

·         Design and hands on knowledge of HPDP, StoreOnce , Tape Library

·         Installation, Implementation and configuration the VTL/Disk base backup (StoreOnce) and Tape base backup

·         Backup on disk Storage pool/VTL configuration in all new backup servers

·         Enable Server / Client based de-duplication

·         Leverage backup of VMware based guest VMs using VMware vStorage API.

·         Configure D2D backup approach

·         Configuration of D2D2T ( Disk àDiskàTape) base backup approach

·         Configuration of D2D and LAN Free backup approach. As well as disk pool data copy

·         Migration of backup Client to New DC, backup will be performed from NEW backup  server 

·         Plan for Historical data restoration on new DC.

·         Migration support during the move group migration window (including business and non-business hours on week-days or weekends depending upon downtime availability).

·         Validation and Testing of backup and restore.

·         Replication of data (between DC and DR side ) by using backup technology.

·         Excellent on troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Profile:

-          Should be well versed with Backup and archival technologies

-          Should be well versed with HPDP Backup, Disk Pool, Tape Library and HP StoreOnce solution

-          Backup Solution presentation at customer location

-          Project drive skill at customer location

-          Sound knowledge on trouble shooting backup issues

-          Must have had hand-on experience on HP Backup and archival products.

-          Should SAN and NAS technologies

Skills:

·         Extensive experience in Installation, Configuration ,upgrading, and maintaining backup and archival environment

·         Working knowledge of UNIX and windows operating systems.

·         Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·         Good customer service and communication (oral and written) skills.  Ability to deliver professional engagement documentation.

Certifications:

-Any industry standard HPDP Backup certifications

- HP StoreOnce / Data Domain certification
