Position Title:  Business Analyst (BI focused)
Location:  Columbus, OH
Duration:  6-12 Month Contract To Hire
Visa: GC/ US Citizen, H4 EAD, TN Visa
Interview:  Phone/ Skype. In Person if local
Must have experience using BI reporting tools (Qlik Sense, QlikView or Tableau)
 
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience acting as a Business Analyst working as a liaison between IT and the business
3+ years of experience within a Business Intelligence Analyst capacity
Must have experience using BI reporting tools (Qlik Sense, QlikView or Tableau)
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements 
Experience slicing and dicing data and making recommendations to that data
Functional testing experience utilizing test cases is required
Experience facilitating and leading meetings as needed
Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum preferred)
Experience creating prototypes for BI Developers
 
Desired Skills:  
Exposure or experience with a Cloud project
Familiarity with SnapLogic as an ETL tool
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
 
Description of Role/Responsibilities: 
 
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a company based in the greater Columbus, Ohio area.  This person will assisting with a large, Enterprise wide initiative to migrate all of BI to the Cloud.  Ideal candidates will have true "consultant" experience.  We need individuals who have gathered requirements from the business, asked questions around current processes and procedures, examined data, created prototypes and then passed those prototypes to the BI Developers.  The selected candidate will also be performing functional testing to ensure a smooth delivery to the business.  This is a long-term, important initiative.  If you are looking for a new challenge in the Business Intelligence space, then this is the position for you!

Title: ETL Developer

Location: Cincinnati OH

 

The Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. The Developer has overall responsibility in the technical design process. Leads and participates in the application technical design process and completes estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. The Developer also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The Developer strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.  The Systems Integration Solutions team is at the center of many Kroger processes and applications. This allows team members to interact with business and other technology associates across the organization. The SIS team provides data feeds to many additional Kroger applications as well as a host of third party vendors.  Current tools and technologies used by the team include Ab Initio, Informatica, AIX/Unix, Unix Shell Scripting, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), Connect Direct, SQL Scripting/Stored Procedures, Databases (DB2, Oracle)  

Essential Job Functions:

·  Build partnerships across the application, business and infrastructure teams.

·  Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

·  Complete estimates and work plans with the assistance of more senior team members as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks.

·  Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC.

·  Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are managed appropriately and that completed assignments are of the highest quality.

·  Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the Support Center, NOC, Infrastructure teams, and vendors as appropriate. Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as required.

·  May assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates.

·  Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

·  4 - 6 years experience in systems analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies.

·  Proven communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.

·  Ability to interact well in a team environment.

Desired Previous Job Experience

·  Bachelor's degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.

·  4 - 6 years experience in systems analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies with medium size or medium level complexity projects.

·  Prior experience with project planning with medium size or medium level complexity projects.

·  Participate in the application technical design process.
