Job Description:

Skills needed:

·         An Oracle Application DBA is responsible for creating or maintaining the database components of an application that uses the Oracle technology stack either developing new applications or convert existing applications to run in an Oracle Database environment.

·         Application DBA  closely with development team and database administrators sharing knowledge and information

Responsibilities: 

The ideal candidate will:

·         Apply database management consulting skills and gathers user requirements, design solution and implementing database solution required by the application

·         Creating schema objects and implementing rules for data integrity

·         Writing server-side PL/SQL Stored Procedures, views, materialized views and Complex SQL queries.

·         Creating the application interface with the chosen development tool

·         Writing Shell Scripts in Unix/Linux environment.

·         Instantiating applications in different databases for development, testing, pre-prod, and deployment in a production environment

·         Design logical and physical data model using standard data modeling tool.

·         Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines

·         Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues for existing and proposed databases

·         Provide administration of Distributed Oracle implementations, including database definition, structure, documentation, and long-range requirements

·         Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the database management skills of database administration, Web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis

·         Provide standardization and consistency across environments

·         Ensure a stable and secure database environment

·         Health care data experience

·         Understanding of HIPAA privacy & security rules 

·         Experience tuning large scale Oracle Database and applications

·         Understanding of programming in Java/JDBC

·         Oracle Certified Professional OCP

·         Graduate Degree
