A Sr. Business Analyst directs business design activities related to complex application software, data and packaged software solutions. 

They analyze requirements and develop high-level and detailed business process designs, including process flows, business rules and user interface interactions. 

A Sr. Business Analyst gathers business requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g. work sessions and interviews) and facilitates design workshops and guides others in capturing.

Responsibilities: 

Builds the case for action and help to obtain buy-in from executive sponsors. 

Directs the development of conceptual business models for high complexity business process designs.  

Defines the work products that will be required by the project methodology.  

Plan and direct prototyping business applications to ensure accuracy in design and applicability to user requirements.

Plan and coordinate acceptance testing and create high complexity test scripts for the business area that contain multiple cases and cycles.  

Possesses an awareness of technical strategies and components (e.g. hardware, software, packaged applications, and tools) and works in conjunction with technologists to define application systems that enable 

Conduct impact analysis of process redesign on existing organization roles, principles, facilities and technical infrastructure and guide others to understand the impact.  

Identify and present gap analyses highlighting current state, future state, client needs and best practices.  

Position 2: Business Analyst Professional.

Assists in the research and assessment of business goals, objectives and needs to align information technology solutions with business initiatives and processes.

Assists in planning and designing business processes; assists in formulating recommendations to improve, document and support business processes.

Assists in analyzing and documenting client's business requirements and processes; communicates these requirements to technical personnel by constructing basic conceptual data and process models, including data 

dictionaries and volume estimates.

Assists in creating basic test scenarios to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.

Assists in developing and modifying systems requirements documentation to meet client needs.

Participates in meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.

Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried through phase of project.

Assists in the research and assessment of business goals, objectives and needs to align information technology solutions with business initiatives on small less complex accounts. 

Serves as the liaison between technical personnel and business area.

Responsibilities: 

Assists in planning and designing business processes; assists in formulating recommendations to improve and support business activities.

Assists in analyzing and documenting client's business requirements and processes; communicates these requirements to technical personnel by constructing basic conceptual data and process models, including data 

dictionaries and volume estimates.

Assists in creating basic test scenarios to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.

Assists in developing and modifying systems requirements documentation to meet client needs.

Participates in meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.

Executes systems test from existing test plans.  Assists in analyzing testing results in all phases.

Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried through phases of project.
