DataStage Architect
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration: 6 months
They will need to interview onsite
Must-haves
5+ years experince with Datastage at the Architect level most recently
5+ years experience in data architecture, data integration, and database
Hands-on experience and proficiency with UNIX and shell scripting
Role:
Primary responsibility is to provide support to the client to improve the Datastage processing.
Understand client needs in order to provide overall Datastage roadmap regarding tools and technologies
Define processes, deliver organization recommendations, and identify needed capabilities to increase Datastage processing
Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of Datastage and work to gain buy-in from key stake-holders across both IT and the Business
Ensure conformance of established architecture, standards, and best practices
Actively participate in evaluation & selection of new technologies, where applicable
Hadoop Developer
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration: 6 months
They will need to interview onsite
Must-haves
1+ years experience in the architecture, design, and development of Hadoop solutions
5+ years experience in data architecture, data integration, database and DW/BI
Strong knowledge and use of DW/BI development methodologies, standards and procedures
Hands-on experience and proficiency with UNIX and shell scripting
5+ years of Large Company consulting experience
Role:
Primary responsibility is to leverage Hadoop technologies to support the client's business and technology strategies in Hadoop environments
Develop implementation plans for adoption of Hadoop for data processing
Perform analysis and make recommendations for using Hadoop to shorten data processing times
Understand client needs in order to provide overall Hadoop roadmap regarding tools and technologies
Develop business cases on areas where Hadoop creates business opportunities or solves outstanding problems
Conceive and deliver a comprehensive vision of Hadoop strategies for clients
Lead and set architecture strategy around Hadoop for the Enterprise in close Partnership with stakeholders/clients
Define processes, deliver organization recommendations, and identify needed capabilities to "operationalize" Hadoop strategies

2+ years experience with ETL tools, preferably IBM DataStage
Hands-on experience and proficiency with Netezza SQL
5+ years experience in data architecture, data integration, database and DW/BI
Role:
Develop data integration applications leveraging Netezza tools and methodologies
Analyze and optimize performance of extracts, loads and transformations
Develop recommendations and implementation plans for Netezza database tuning
Wok under the guidance of/or act as a team lead and report status as required
Follow and improve upon development guidelines, standards and procedures
Coach junior technical developers as required
Provide support for code promotion, deployment, and troubleshooting
Seek ways to continuously improve personal efficiency and effectiveness
