CRITICAL ROLE

Location: Rancho Cordova

Start Date: ASAP

 

Exadata and Exalogic are must haves – I think this makes this role tough

 

Data Center Technical Architect

 

• Responsible for the planning and design of the server / storage environments needed to support application development, testing and production usage of the environment

• Experience with Oracle Exadata / Exalogic and OVM

• Works with the technical architecture / application team to determine application requirements sizing for the environment

• Works with the hosting provider NTTA to plan and transfer knowledge required to implement the environment and resolve issues as they arise

• Responsible for input to technical architecture diagram and infrastructure design deliverables

 

Required

• Bachelor's degree in technical field (Engineering, Computer Science)

• 8 years of experience in information systems deployment

• 3 years of experience in the planning and design of virtual server/storage environments

• 3 years of experience with Oracle Exadata/Exalogic

• Strong communication skills

 

Preferred Requirements

• Enterprise class storage administration, management and usage (SAN, NAS)

• Networking devices and protocols (Firewall, loadbalancer, Router, switch)

• SAN, NAS, and/or DASD technologies

• Work plan Creation & Project Management experience

 

Context

NTT America will deliver hosting, provisioning and management of our technical infrastructure – the servers, storage and network that provide CalHEERS capabilities to consumers and employers. The Production data center is located in Santa Clara, CA and the non-production and disaster recovery data center is located in Ashburn, VA

 

Some travel between Sacramento and Santa Clara CA may be required.

 

The development, production, and backup datacenters share a common architecture based on Oracle Engineered Systems. These engineered systems combine compute, storage, and networking in optimized, prepackaged units. These systems are the Exalogic and Exadata platform
