Title: SAP BASIS/PI Admin

Job Description:

Position Purpose: As part of the Global Support organization, the Basis XI/PI technical consultant will design and oversee XI/Java technical installation, configuration, maintenance and support  of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems; provide technical and process leadership while partnering with global teams to drive the tactical delivery of application solutions; integrate systems across infrastructure and services; set guidelines based on existing SOPs and standards integration patterns; partner with system administrators, information security, project managers and other parts of internal solutions delivery and support teams as well as business partners to implement solutions; provide focused consulting services on projects and govern compliance of those projects with architecture standards and roadmaps while ensuring that the design and development teams remain compliant with evolving enterprise standards.

PI Administrator specific tasks:

• Define, Implement and configure the PI Landscape (SLD Architecture)
• Perform System Configuration of SAP PI 7.1 (installation, configuration of Web AS)/Rebuild/refresh  PI/XI Systems
• Deploy and configure  PI components (Enterprise Service Repository, Service Registry, and Integration Builder.                       
• Maintain the SLD(Transport Paths, Tech Systems, Bus Systems, Content) and keep updating the CR/CIM and
• System Management (User Management, Exchange Profile Maintenance)
• Security Operations (e. g. handling of certificates)
• Configuration and maintenance of Business Systems, Products, Software Component Versions, etc
• E2E root cause analysis for the J2EE stack
• Evaluate and apply SAP kernel patches and support packs
• Work with SAP in resolving the issues
• Participate in a 24 X 7 on-call pager rotation
• Performance fine tuning in Java
• Backup and restore SAP PI system
• Perform system configuration of SAP PI (installation, configuration of Web AS)
• Basis admin tasks (PI, AS ABAP, AS JAVA)
• Administration and configuration of SLD
• Transport management
