Clinical Data Analyst

Location: St. Louis, MO

Duration: 12 months

Rate: Open

Summary:

Strategically manage assigned data entities across the enterprise, while ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity, availability and privacy.  Standardize data naming, establishing consistent data definitions, and monitoring/auditing the data quality.

Duties:

·         Perform data quality checks

·         Resolve profile and affiliation issues on a case-by-case basis

·         Ensure data management methodologies include the steps, activities, and deliverables required to consistently achieve high quality data

·         Ensure applications adhere to defined data management practices, policies, and procedures

·         Identify and manage the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion

·         Documentation of data sources, data types, dependencies, and flows

·         Optimize existing SQL scripts and ETL processes to minimize duplication

·         Review and discover data sources

·         Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

·         Provide reporting and performance monitoring

·         Perform detailed data exploration and validation

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics, Technical, Math, or closely related discipline

·         Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices

·         SQL development experience

·         Previous experience with dimensional modeling and data profiling

·         Strong understanding of ETL methodologies

·         Working knowledge of statistics

·         Proficiency with Excel, including pivoting capabilities and analysis modules

·         Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data

·         Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

·         Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with extreme attention to detail

·         Superior verbal and written communication skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2010

·         Able to prioritize effectively and meet strict deadlines while managing multiple, competing tasks

·         Strong team player able to form functional work relationships with peers and superiors
