POS: SQL SERVER PRODUCTION DBA
LOC: FT. LAUDERDALE, FL
DURATION: 4-6 MONTHS
**They must have 4+ years of experience supporting SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2008 R2). They must have experience supporting SSIS package and SSRS infrastructure. Developing SSIS packages/SSRS reports is a plus but not required. Familiarity with SSAS is a plus. They must have working knowledge of High Availability (Clustering), Database Mirroring, SQL Replication, strong T-SQL programming skills and advanced Performance Optimization skills***
SQL SERVER DBA:
Qualifications (include knowledge, skills, abilities, and related work experience)
• Strong understanding of database development and architecture concepts
• Strong understanding of programming skills in developing stored procedures, functions, triggers and views using T-SQL
• Advanced proficiency in tuning and optimizing databases including optimization of stored procedures, triggers, tables, indices and configuration settings
• Strong understanding of backup/ restore options as well as business continuity processes
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and tools
• Strong understanding of database security concepts
• Must be able to work independently and have a strong team orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Complex solving abilities
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Working knowledge of high availability technologies such as clustering and/or database mirroring
• Working knowledge of replication setup and maintenance
• Working knowledge of domain database technology
• Database Certification is a plus
Functional/Technical Requirements (include education, certifications, and training)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience supporting production databases on SQL 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting SSIS 2008 packages required. Experience developing SSIS 2008 packages is a plus
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting SSRS 2008
• Familiarity/experience with SSAS 2008 is a plus
