Job Title : ETL Developer
Duration 1-2 years
Location : San Francisco
Roles & Responsibilities
• Experience in creating Domains, Repositories ,installs, configuration, maintaining connections, monitoring and managing systems performance
• Experience in up gradation from 8x-9x version and applying hotfix.
• Root Cause analysis for ETL job failures
• Scheduling and Monitoring informatica repository backups
• Experience in Informatica migration process, performance monitoring preferably in version 9.x
• Experience in Unix Shell Scripting.
• Experience in Informatica repository trouble shooting, creation, Backup and Restore
• Experience in monitoring Informatica repository health through Informatica admin console.
• Review of Informatica ETL design documents and working closely with development team to ensure correct standards are followed
• Exposure to uc4 scheduling tool to scheduling batch jobs.
• Provide assistance in estimating work efforts.
• Familiar with a variety of the data warehouse/ ETL/ Pl-sql concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Hands-on experience developing ETL programs using Informatica Power Center 8.6.1 or higher in Red Hat Linux and Oracle 11g environment
• On Call Support as required during the week ends and nights
Education/Requirements:
• Generally requires 9+ years of directly related professional experience and possesses deep technical abilities in one or more primary products, programs or technologies
• Minimum 4+ years of experience with Informatica 8.x/9.X server Administration.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as ETL designer / developer using Informatica PowerCenter 8.x/9.x, PowerExchange, PowerConnect and Data Transformation.
• Solid knowledge in database (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server) – minimum of 4 years
• Implementing and Refining required business transformation rules and logic
• Analyzing source systems for data profiling and creation of source to target mapping specs
• Designing and developing exception handling, data standardization procedures and quality assurance controls
• Optimizing ETL performance
• Preparation of technical specification documentation
• Solid understanding of overall data warehouse design principles
• Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer-service focus
• Ability to work in a multi team environment and encourage cooperation between teams to achieve the best outcomes
• Strong time management skills
