Job Description
Role: Hyperion Developer
Duration: Long Term
Location: Atlanta GA
Rate: Open
Education/Experience
o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required
o 8-10 years experience required
o Hyperion Essbase or Planning Certified
Skills and Competencies:
o Top 2 skills/competencies necessary for this role are expertise with developing Hyperion Essbase & Hyperion Planning
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
o Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
o Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
o Ability to function and thrive in a team environment, a true team player
o Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software
o Strong knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models
o Extensive experience developing and designing with Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning
o Experience with implementing and using Hyperion Shared Services, Hyperion Workspace, Hyperion Smart view
o Experience writing relational sql
o Understanding of batch scripting in Windows and Linux is a plus
o Preferred candidate will have experience on multiple large Essbase/Planning projects
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Review, Design and Implement modifications to existing applications to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
o Gather requirements, Design and Implement new Hyperion Essbase or Planning applications, calculations, load rules, and validating data
o Create and develop performance improvements and implement new features
o Counsel customers about software system design and maintenance
o Counsel systems analysts, programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
o Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
o About 5 to 10% of daily duties will include third level Essbase support, working in conjunction with the Oracle support team
