Looking for senior software Build and Release Engineer with extensive experience in building and deploying Microsoft.NET web applications.
· Responsibilities:
o Researches tools, techniques and methods for accomplishing seamless integration.
o Implement and manage continuous build, integrated build, automated unit testing and deployment processes
o Own all customized Build Automation and Continuous Integration scripts, templates and processes.
o Troubleshoot compile and build failures, and facilitate resolution.
o Optimize phased-release approach to product development and testing; implements tools for configuration management, defect tracking and change control.
o Support release readiness by managing the creation of all release artifacts required by Release Management policies.
o Deploy the release of software components into pre-production environments.
o Create and maintain the continuous integration process documentation.
o Integrate code check-in rules and test automation harnesses into the continuous integration system to support quality objectives.
o Work closely with Development teams and Technical Leads to drive build automation standards.
o Work with Operations and Release Management teams to help achieve a high quality of release management.
· Requirements and minimum qualifications:
o 4-6+ years experience as a Build/Release engineer in a Microsoft .Net environment like visual studio.
o Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience or specialized training required
o Experience in installation, set-up, and management of build servers
o Experience with Clearcase or any similar SCM system required.
o Experience with build management tools required. Experience with Cruise Control, Jenkins and Visual Studio
o Excellent scripting skills related to build and release processes and tools.
o Experience with building C#, ASP. NET , ESB and Java applications (web) is a must.
o Experience writing SQL queries preferred.
o Solid knowledge of best practices, processes and tools required to support a successful Continuous Integration system.
o Experience with automating application deployment and environment configuration management.
o Comfortable working in Agile / iterative development environments and able to drive the process.
