Senior Business Objects Developer
Basic Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience as a BI developer using Business Objects is required.
3+ years of experience working as a Business Objects Developer (Desginer
and WebIntelligence Reprots) on Business Objects XI31 or greater.
Bachelor degree, preferably in computer science or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years in the aforementioned subject matter.
5 Years database experience – Oracle 10g or higher (Preferred), MS SQL Server
Exposure with the below technologies will be considered a plus:
Microstrategy version 8 and above
ETL Tools such as Informatica, Data stage or Business Objects Data Integrator
Responsibilities
The Business Objects Developer will work closely with development teams to
analyze, design, develop, test and deploy complex universe and database
based BI solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as a Business
Objects Developer.
This individual will be required to create complex Business Objects
reports, perform report analysis, and train end-users. You will develop
Business Objects reports to provide data validation and Data Quality reports in support of
development activities. We're looking for deep knowledge of Universe
Development as well as demonstrated SQL and Xcelsius skills. WebIntelligence experience is also required.
Develop requirements and specifications in coordination with the business
analysts, data analysts and developers to build or refine data marts to
support reporting needs.
Work with application developers to understand and develop requirements
and processes new information needs through the entire development lifecycle.
Participate in meetings and maintain communication with business users to
compile requirements information and provide recommendations and solutions.
Extensive use of SQL to ensure data accuracy and adherence to information
standards of reports and dashboards.
