OPPORTUNITY:
SKILLS IN RED – MUST BE WELL DOCUMENTED AND HIGHLIGHTED UNDER RESPONSIBILITIES ON THE RESUME.
COMM SKILLS MUST BE AT 10/10.
This is a very high risk assignment. We need top gun candidate, very experienced, with 10-15 years PeopleSoft financials tuning.
Candidates should have:
-GL Partitioning knowledge
-Skills to deal with the Oracle 11g optimizer/plans/importing plans/gather stats
The client needs someone to tune/health their PeopleSoft Financials 11g database. They have issues with GL partitioning and the gather stats programs having to run continuously. They are looking for a DBA to check the stats processes and help with configuring the database. The stats processes have to run every hour or so for the database to work. They are looking for workarounds in this.
Consultant to perform intense tuning of the PeopleSoft GL Database. Interested in ways to work with the Oracle Optimizer to handle larger volumes. Candidate needs to have experience in SQL and DB tuning, Large volume GL platforms, PeopleSoft awareness, Partitioning Knowledge and SQL Optimizer knowledge
· Assist with tuning of long running PeopleSoft GL Close jobs on the Oracle PeopleSoft GL environment
· Assist with recommending various strategies related to tuning the Oracle optimizer to handle variable loads on the database against new partitions (example import statistics)
· Provide high performance support for month end jobs during the year end close
· Recommend best practices for configuring Oracle Database against a PeopleSoft financial environment to support yearend financial close.
REQUIRED:
· Minimum 5+ years' experience as a PeopleSoft DBA, including database installations, PeopleSoft upgrades, performance tuning, applications/web server configuration and maintenance
· Must have 2+ years' experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials 11g databases specifically GL - optimizer/plans/importing plans/gather stats
· Must have strong experience in SQL and Database Tuning
· Strong GL Partitioning and SQL Optimizer knowledge
· Hands on experience in PeopleTools 8x, WebLogic, UNIX Shell Scripts
