Job Title : Java Developer
Location : Washington, D.C
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
Seeking an experienced J2EE Developer to help develop java based web applications using standard web frameworks like Spring MVC and javascript frameworks like JQuery. The selected candidate would be at onsite, as a developer, involved in full-lifecycle J2EE development, including Build and deployment and testing activities . The successful candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in Spring MVC, JSTL, JQuery, AJAX, DHTML and CSS and also should have sound understanding of J2EE architecture and design patterns. The candidate should also have a good exposure working with web services, XML parsing and experience developing web applications on IBM Websphere application server, in a UNIX/LINUX environment.
Skills and Responsibilities
1. Expertise developing Web applications using frameworks like Spring, Spring MVC, hibernate, JSTL and integrating with back-ends databases like SQL, Oracle.
2. Extensive experience in coding front end applications using javascript frameworks like JQuery,ExtJS and sound understanding of CSS3, HTML5 and DHTML, AJAX.
3. Sound knowledge of SOA and experience in developing SOAP/REST based web services, XML parsing(SAX/DOM/STAX).
4. Exposure to mobile application development, and any open source utility tools(Apache POI, DOCX4J etc) is a plus.
5. Experienced in full-lifecycle J2EE development, including Build and deployment tools like ANT scripts.
6. Experience with servers like WebSphere 7, tomcat 6.X.
7. Develop and unit test developed code in Eclipse based IDEs(IBM Rational Application Developer etc)
8. Ideal candidate would need to have 7-9 years of experience in developing J2EE applications.
