Role : UNIX System Administrator  

Location : Carmel, IN

Start Date : ASAP

Duration : 6+Months                        

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in building and deployment of Linux, UNIX, and VMWare systems including assisting in design and project related deployments through non production and production environments.

• Administered standards, controls, procedures and documentation (SOX, PII & PCI).

• Storage general technology theories, practices and support.  Experience with EMC Storage Arrays, dm-multipath, ZFS, LVM, Qlogic SanSurfer, etc. or the like is a plus.

• Management tools and configuration management.  Experience with Oracle OPS Center or the like is a plus.

• Virtualization methodologies and management.  Experience with VMWare or the like is a plus.

• Backup and Restore methodologies and practices.  Experience with Symantec Netback or the like is a plus.

• Scripting - Linux, UNIX, etc.

• Proactive monitoring tools / alerting / trending

• Security processes, management and auditing requirements and audit documentation

• Creation and maintenance of support documentation / runbooks

• High availability concepts and technologies.  Experience with OCFS, Veritas, or the like is a plus.

•  SDLC practices and ability to follow documented process to deploy software/code within multiple environments
