VMware Systems Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
6 months + renewal
Must have: VMware vCenter / Virtual Center, strong Windows and/or Linux experience.
Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, and resolves software related problems. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Technologies supported include operating systems, servers, networks, system security, hardware and other software applications. Troubleshoots system issues and resolves or escalates. Creates and updates system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures. Minimum 5 years of experience.
This position also requires a high level of experience in the following:
Strong knowledge of troubleshooting .Net application
Experienced working with Java application
Microsoft Windows 2008 R2, 2012
Strong knowledge in IIS 7, 7.5
Working knowledge of VMware in an enterprise environment
Experienced working in an enterprise data center
Pluses: vCloud Director, NetApp, PowerShell, Cisco UCS Blade Servers, SharePoint, F5 Big-IP LTM, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft IIS, .NET.
