EMC Certified Systems Engineer – Jr. to Mid Level
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 6 Months
Must have excellent communication skills
Citizen , EAD , green card. Might look at an H1
EMC Proven Professional Certification REQUIRED.
Provides technical leadership and direction to our client in Seattle. Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated EMC. Acts as a hands on technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers. Technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities, software requirements and systems integration. Understands EMC technology top to bottom. Makes technical presentations to technical staff and top management.
Applicable markets: Communications
- Configures and documents EMC software, hardware and solutions to meet customer objectives. Completes required documentation quickly and accurately.
- EMC Proven Professional Certification REQUIRED.
- Converged Networking
- Focused on supporting customer initiatives in the Virtualization, Network Convergence, and Cloud Enablement markets.
- Knowledge of networking media, protocols and vendor portfolios.
- A minimum of 5 years of domain experience in the networking industry as an architect, systems engineer, or delivery engineer.
- Extensive knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, ATM, and Routing Protocols is required
- Knowledge of Fibre Channel internals and architectures and knowledge of complementary storage products along with FCoE is required.
- UNIX and Linux knowledge including system administration, network administration, debugging and troubleshooting is required.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, focused on distributed systems, telecommunications, or networking is required.
The right candidate is going to have to wear a number of hats with Storage Administration as the primary, expressed need. Other hats are - VMware Administration support, Windows Administration support, and to a lesser degree networking support. Also should have a pretty solid operational background, an understanding of production procedures, and day-to-day operations.
