Job Description:
Developer III performs high complexity (i.e. system level applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. This candidate is also a self-starter who is able to work independently, with minimal direction, in delivering solutions.
• Develop code per specifications in collaboration with the QA team.
• Develop unit test cases for the application
• Develop business and technical subject matter expertise on the Loan Delivery process and systems.
• Actively participate in the lifecycle to identify gaps and deficiencies in deliverables from requirements through implementation.
• Identify and recommend areas of improvement to the existing system and to the rewrite efforts.
• Must take initiative and ownership for deliverables and must work well within a team environment.
Required Skills:
1) Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
2) Solid knowledge of the programming language(s), application server, database server and/or architecture of the system being developed
3) Solid understanding of current programming languages and employs any/all of these languages to solve the business needs of FNM's internal customers
4) Knowledge of the following: C++, Java, Windows, Unix, Shell scripts, Oracle, XML, JSP, Struts, asp/.net etc
Minimum Education Requirements:
1) Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
2) Professional certification(s) desired
3) Post-graduate degree desired
Minimum Work Experience:
7-10+ years software development experience
